This heralds his first exhibition and what he was thinking when he took the picture.
These photos represent his Madrid-Retiro period where he first is experimenting with shape and composition, but is mostly focused on not putting his fingers over the lens or dropping the camera.
This will be the first of several shows by our budding young photographer.
Enjoy.
Retiro Park Boaters
“I liked the number on the boat.”
Retiro Bagpiper
“He sounded good and I wanted
to have a picture of him forever.”
Madrid Apartment Afternoon Sunlight
“This picture was to get some nice sunlight in the
apartment with the flower streamer we had for
Mommy’s birthday. I think the flower streamer was a
better choice than the polka-dots.”
Madrid Apartment Afternoon Sunlight Redux
“There was a submarine tube outside the window
and I wanted to take its picture before it floated
away in the water.”
Ice Cream Stand, Retiro Park
“I wanted to take a picture of the ice cream shop we went to ALL THE TIME!”
Tunnel to Retiro Park
“I’m trying to show how long the tunnel was to
Retiro Park. I don’t know where the saxophone
player went, he’s usually there.”
Madrid Roses and Sculpture
“The rose garden looked beautiful and the fountain
looked pretty good too since it had sculptures in it."
